PokerStars has imposed a three month ban against online Canadian poker professional Sorel "Imper1um" Mizzi from all games.

Sorel asked a friend to sit in on a $300.00 PLO Event of the WCOOP for him well he caught a flight from Barcelona to London and when PokerStars found out they imposed a six month ban against Sorel but reduced the sentence to three months after some intense e-mail communication between the Canadian pro and Poker Stars.

This is the second time Mizzi has been the center of negative online attention after last year when he was convicted for fraud at Full Tilt Poker when he played the $1 Million guaranteed under the account of Chris 'BluffMagCV' Vaughn.

Many professional poker players consider multi accounts and account sharing as a grey area or very minor offence, but it appears that the online poker sites are moving against such acts with severe pelalties.

I don't know about you but I for one have had my wife finish tournaments for me when I had to go to work and I wasn't banned. We didn't win the tournament but we did cash (to a much smaller amount). Should Sorel Mizzi be treated any different then me because he is a professional or based on the monetary amount of the tournament?
